明威閣 Mainway Court

The relationship between space and personal characteristics is a profound and intriguing topic. In this project, we adopted a unique approach to demonstrate how spatial design can reflect and shape personal characteristics.

First, we chose to retain the original wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, and doors within the unit, only performing paint renovations and installing kitchen cabinet doors with artificial stainless steel laminate. This approach was not only cost-effective but also made good use of the original features of the space and emphasized sustainability. The strategy was to focus the budget on aesthetically pleasing materials such as stainless steel, sintered stone (with marble and granite looks), black, white, and grey color schemes, mirrors, and designer curtain fabrics. These elements not only enhanced the space's quality but also enriched the layers of life within it. Each carefully selected material represents a pursuit of quality living, reminding residents of their aspirations and encouraging them to cherish each day more fully.

The black, white, and grey color scheme is both a gradual combination and a strong contrast.

This color matching has strong inclusivity, naturally highlighting any added materials and making them the focal point of the space. This design concept symbolizes balance and harmony in life, and also suggests that the residents have inclusive and adaptable personalities. We believe that design is not just a tool for solving problems, but should also be able to uncover the meaning behind spaces. Through carefully designed spaces, we hope to inspire people to reflect on life, continuously discover themselves, and experience growth in daily life. As the phrase "spaces you find yourself in" suggests, the spaces we inhabit not only reflect who we are but also shape who we become.

Every design and material choice was carefully considered to create a living space for the owner that is both practical and full of personality.

It not only meets basic living needs but also becomes an extension of the resident's personality, motivating them to pursue higher quality and meaning in their daily lives.
